If you've been hoping for another sit-down Tex-Mex option near FM 2499, here's your first concrete sign: Arroyo's Tex-Mex has its Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission license for a space at Parker Square.
That license is not a formality. Getting one requires ownership documentation, state approval of the premises, and a full application — according to TABC, the review alone can take 30 to 35 days after a complete submission. That clock has run. The legal groundwork is done.
Still ahead: build-out, staffing, city inspections, and whatever internal timeline Arroyo's has set. No opening date has been announced. The license is a required step, not the finish line.
Parker Square already has a Tex-Mex presence, and the center draws enough foot traffic to show that appetite exists. Arroyo's would be another option in the same walkable square, not a pioneer in unfamiliar territory.
