Argyle ISD Starts August 11, LISD Starts August 12

Ten days from now, the first bell rings. If your kids are in Argyle ISD, that's Tuesday, August 11. If they're in Lewisville ISD, it's Wednesday, August 12 — one day later.

For most families, one day is a footnote. But if you've got kids split between the two districts — or if you're coordinating childcare, carpools, or a last-minute lake trip — that Tuesday/Wednesday gap is the kind of detail that matters at 6 a.m.

Argyle ISD's first day falls on Tuesday, August 11. Lewisville ISD students start Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

The rest of the year tracks pretty closely, with a few differences worth noting. Spring break is the bigger planning mismatch for blended families — the two districts do not share the same week off. Worth pulling up both district calendars now rather than discovering the gap in February.
