Crown & Sole Opens at 804 Paisley Drive, Bringing Dedicated Shoe Retail Back to Flower Mound

If you've been making the drive to Legacy West or Frisco every time you need a proper pair of shoes, that trip just got optional. Crown & Sole, a specialty footwear retailer, opened Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 804 Paisley Drive in Flower Mound.

The shop filed for a Texas sales tax permit ahead of opening — the standard step any new retailer takes before ringing a first sale. No town council vote, no public hearing required.

Flower Mound's last dedicated shoe store, Famous Footwear at 6101 Long Prairie Road in the Highlands at Flower Mound center, closed in January 2018. That left residents choosing between big-box sporting goods or a drive out of town.

The Paisley Drive address puts the shop near the Long Prairie–Cross Timbers corridor, which has been steadily absorbing new tenants. At 1400 Long Prairie Road, Long Prairie Plaza — two buildings constructed in 2022 — sold earlier this year as a fully leased asset. Tenants there include Active Dental, Cold Stone Creamery, Donatos Pizza, Teacupfuls, Fiore Nail Bar, and Degree Wellness. A Marcus & Millichap sale report put daily traffic along that stretch of Long Prairie Road above 41,600 vehicles. Not a sleepy corner.

No grand opening details appear in public filings. The store is open now. If you're in the market, 804 Paisley Drive is where to start.
