Diwali: Festival of Lights Comes to Gerault Park on Saturday, Oct. 24
The Town is bringing music, Indian street food, and dance performances to Gerault Park Fields from 3 to 9 p.m.
Clear your Saturday, Oct. 24 evening. Gerault Park Fields on Gerault Road is hosting Diwali: Festival of Lights from 3 to 9 p.m. — six hours of dance performances, Indian cuisine and street food, and vendor booths. Free. No ticket required.
Diwali ranks among the most widely observed holidays on earth. Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains celebrate it as the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. The name comes from the Sanskrit deepavali, meaning "rows of lighted lamps." The date moves around, landing somewhere between October and November depending on the year. In 2026, Saturday, Oct. 24 falls right in the middle of the season.
For Flower Mound families who observe Diwali, having it in the neighborhood matters. For everyone else, the entry point is low: good food, live performance, nothing to pay.
