Dolsot Korean Kitchen Is Open at 5851 Long Prairie — Bibimbap, Tteokbokki, and Stone Bowls

If your Friday-night answer to "what do you want for dinner" has ever ended with a drive down 35 toward Lewisville, here's a shorter option. Dolsot Korean Kitchen opened at 5851 Long Prairie Rd., Suite 104 — right next to Salata — about three weeks ago, and the menu is the real thing.

The kitchen runs a mix of authentic and contemporary Korean dishes: bibimbap, tteokbokki, rolled omelets, kimchi fries, and more. The name itself is a clue to the house specialty. Dolsot is the sizzling stone bowl that keeps bibimbap crackling at the table long after it arrives — filled here with vibrant vegetables, special bibim sauce, and a sunny-side-up egg on top. Other dishes come bubbling hot in traditional earthenware.

The menu stretches well past bibimbap. Order the bulgogi combo and you're looking at a lineup that runs from soft tofu stew — beef or seafood — to vegetarian plates and cold noodles, served either in broth or dry. There's also a Korean traditional pancake loaded with various seafood, scallion, and vegetables. If you'd rather eat in, delivery through DoorDash and Uber Eats is already live.

Hours run Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to around 8:45 p.m. Friday they stay open until 9:15 p.m., Saturday until 9 p.m. Closed Mondays. Suite 104 puts them in the strip you already know — Salata is the landmark to look for.
