eTRAKiT Is Offline Through Monday — Plan Around It Before Tuesday

If you had plans to pull a permit or schedule a building inspection online this weekend, change those plans now. The Town of Flower Mound's eTRAKiT portal — where contractors submit permits, request inspections, and track project status — is down for maintenance starting Thursday, September 17, and won't be back until Tuesday.

That's the whole weekend plus Monday.

eTRAKiT is the system that ties together every stage of the permitting process — from a first application to final sign-off — which means any active construction project in town is affected, whether that's a new backyard deck or a commercial build-out on Cross Timbers. Inspections can be requested as late as 7:30 a.m. for a same-day slot and scheduled up to 14 days in advance — none of which works while the portal is down.

For contractors, the math is simple. Any inspection that was going to be booked for Monday through the portal can't be booked through the portal. Inspector office hours run 7:30–8:30 a.m. and 3:30–4:30 p.m. each day, so calling in when the system returns Tuesday is the next option. Building Inspections is at 972.874.6355.

Homeowners waiting on a contractor to pull a permit or confirm an inspection date are in the same position. If your contractor is pulling the permit for you, you'd normally check where things stand at etrakit.flowermound.gov — and that lookup is offline too.

The outage window runs Thursday through Monday, covering a weekend and the following day. If your project timeline is tight, that window matters.
