Five Prize Categories, No Sign-Up: Woof-O-Ween Is Wednesday at Hound Mound

Woof-O-Ween lands at Hound Mound Dog Park, 1200 Garden Ridge Rd., on Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. The Town's annual dog costume contest is free to attend with no registration required. Just show up — costumed dog preferred, but not mandatory.

Five prize categories: most creative, scariest, best homemade, funniest, and best pet/owner look-alike. Five categories means decent odds even if your dog's costume is a last-minute bandana situation. The costume contest kicks off promptly at 6:30 p.m., so get there early if you want any of the good parking.

There'll be a red-carpet fashion show, treats, prizes, and music. A photo area will be set up to capture your dog's costume. The 5:30 start gives families a window after school pickup and before bedtime — arrive, let the dog burn some energy, watch the contest at 6:30, head home by 7:30.
