Flower Mound High School's $18M Renovation Has an October 30 Finish Date

If you've dropped off a student at Peters Colony Road lately, you already know the drill: detours, equipment, the low hum of a campus mid-surgery. The good news is there's an actual date on the calendar.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation lists October 30, 2026 as the completion date for the project, estimated at $18 million. That's the official public record — not a district estimate, not a slide from a board meeting. The TDLR filing.

Phase 1 of the Flower Mound campus renovations wrapped under the 2017 bond. The current work is the second phase, funded by the 2023 bond. LISD filed construction plans for Phase 2 in January 2025, targeting the auxiliary gym, classrooms, and the auditorium. Work got underway as early as March 3.

Enrollment at FMHS stood at 3,426 students in the 2024–25 school year. Every one of them has been sharing their campus with a live construction zone since early last year.

The campus coming out the other side of this will look and function differently from the one that went in.
