If your Jaguar left for school this week, they walked back onto a campus that's still mid-construction. The state-registered deadline is October 30 — roughly two more months of active work while thousands of students move through Peters Colony Road every day.

This is Phase 2 of FMHS's long-running campus refresh. The first phase touched one portion of campus; this second phase covers everything that was left. The scope includes the auxiliary gym, classrooms, and the auditorium. Technology updates are part of it too — new student and staff devices, upgraded network infrastructure, weapon scanners, and new locking and alarm systems.

The project budget is reported at around $20 million. That money comes from a Lewisville ISD bond voters approved. The listed completion date in the TDLR filing is October 30, 2026, for the 102,815-square-foot project.

The question most FMHS families want answered right now — which parking lanes, entrances, or facilities are currently restricted — isn't spelled out in the state record. The TDLR filing establishes the construction window and the budget. Day-to-day access zones live elsewhere. FMHS's site links directly to bond-project timelines at fmhs.lisd.net, and LISD's FMHS feeder-projects page is updated with photo updates and construction benchmarks as work progresses. That's the place to check before drop-off.

If the October 30 target holds, the work clears before the holiday stretch and second semester starts on a finished campus. Bookmark the LISD bond page now so any schedule shifts show up in your feed before they show up in the drop-off lane.
