FMPD’s Casino Night Is This Saturday, and the Stakes Are Real for Flower Mound Kids

The Flower Mound Police Department is hosting its third annual Casino Night this Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Courtyard by Marriott Flower Mound. Proceeds from the event benefit Santa Cops, the department’s largest community outreach program.

Registration opens at 5:30 p.m., the casino floor opens at 6 p.m., gaming begins at 6:30 p.m., and the event runs until 10 p.m.

What your $50 gets you

Tickets are $50 per person. That covers $1,000 in house chips, snacks, drinks, two adult beverages, and a door-prize ticket. Prizes draw every 30 minutes throughout the night. Stack enough chips and you can convert your winnings into raffle tickets for top prizes — more chips, more chances.

Games include blackjack, poker, roulette, craps, and slots, with side events like a lucky draw and mystery chip bags. This year's theme is old western saloon. Dress the part, or don't.

Why it matters come December

Santa Cops is FMPD’s largest community outreach program. Since the program began, approximately 1,000 families and 3,000 children have benefited from donations made by Flower Mound residents.

The program provides Christmas gifts to local children who might otherwise go without while creating opportunities for positive interactions between children and Flower Mound police officers.

FMPD administers Santa Cops in partnership with the Flower Mound Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association. The organizations hold several fundraisers throughout the year, while individual donations also provide a sizable portion of the money used to purchase gifts.
