FMPD's Non-Emergency Line Went Down October 1 — Here's How to Reach the Department
911 is still live for real emergencies; for everything else, the department wants you online.

If you were about to dial the Flower Mound Police Department's non-emergency number — 972.539.0525 — hold off. That line went offline October 1. No return date has been posted.
For a genuine emergency, 911 is unaffected. The outage is limited to the non-emergency dispatch line.
For everything else — a noise complaint, a suspicious vehicle, a property matter — the department is directing residents to its website and official social media channels. You can also reach FMPD by email at FMPDcontact@flowermound.gov.
Here's why that matters. The non-emergency number normally doubles as the town's after-hours line for non-life-threatening issues: a water line break on your street at 10 p.m., a loose animal in the neighborhood, a sewer problem that can't wait until morning. Right now, the phone route for those situations is unavailable.
During business hours, the Town's Customer Relations division takes service requests at 972.539.SERV (7378). After hours, use the online channels or, if there's any genuine safety concern, call 911 and let the dispatcher sort out what's needed.
For updates on when the line comes back, check flowermound.gov or the town's social media.
