Green Bird Opens on Long Prairie — Five Simulator Bays, a Full Bar, and a Kitchen

If you've driven past the Old Navy on Long Prairie lately, there's something new next door worth slowing down for.

Green Bird opened at 5701 Long Prairie Rd., Suite 200, built around five private golf simulator bays, a full bar, and a kitchen menu running from nachos and tacos to flatbreads, wings, salads, and desserts. The simulators run on TruGolf APOGEE hardware with a course library that includes Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, and Pinehurst No. 2.

Founder Diego Chavez has been clear about the vision from the start: it's more than just golf. That shows up in how the place is structured — you can book a bay with friends, sign up for leagues and tournaments, or pull up a stool and order a cocktail without ever picking up a club. The goal, as Chavez frames it, is a version of golf that feels open, alive, and built for today, while still honoring what the sport actually is.
