Heritage Springs Splash Pad Is Back Open Through September 30

If a Tuesday afternoon needs saving, Spinks Road is a solid answer right now.

The Heritage Springs Splash Pad at Heritage Park is back open after repairs, running its regular season through September 30. Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. That leaves families roughly eight weeks before the water shuts off for the year.

The pad covers 4,500 square feet of shaded space. Sculpted concrete boulders, decorative safety surfacing, and 14 water features fill the main area. A separate toddler section keeps the littlest kids in low ground sprays while older ones take on the spray cannons — and parents can watch both from the same shaded seats.

Entry is free. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Infants and toddlers need a swim diaper. Food, drinks, and glass containers are not allowed inside the splash pad area.

The pad can close for water restrictions, maintenance, or cool weather, so a quick check at flowermound.gov before loading up the car is worth it. Heritage Park is at 600 Spinks Road.
