Jeremiah's Italian Ice Is Targeting an October Opening at the Highlands

If you have a frozen-treat run in your regular rotation, you have a new stop to add: Jeremiah's Italian Ice is targeting an October 2026 opening at the Highlands development, 2201 Justin Road. You'll find it near First Watch.

The signature item is the Jelati. Every batch of Italian ice is prepared on-site, and the Jelati layers any flavor — or combination — with soft ice cream. Soft-serve comes in vanilla, chocolate, and swirl.

Franchisee Drew Speraw told What Now Dallas that Flower Mound was a deliberate choice. "Being connected to young families and up-and-coming school districts has been important to their brand," Speraw said. He added: "We're excited to serve the community and really be a part of Flower Mound, school districts, athletic events, churches, all the things surrounding it." Speraw said the Justin Road spot made sense because it sits at a high-traffic corner, puts the shop close to area schools, and places it squarely where local families already spend their time.

The shop sits at the corner of Justin Road and Morriss Road. Construction timing is still being finalized, though Speraw said an opening this year remains possible.

Once open, hours are planned as noon to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and noon to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The town flagged the shop as "coming soon" in a post dated October 4, 2026 — worth bookmarking the Flower Mound town newsflash page if you want to catch the actual opening date.
