Labor Day Week: Every Trash and Recycling Pickup in Flower Mound Shifts One Day Later
Don't roll your bin to the curb Monday — it won't be emptied until the following week if you do.

Labor Day lands on Monday, September 7 this year, and the town observes it. That means your trash, recycling, and bulk collection will not run on Monday, Sept. 7 — everything shifts one day later that week.
Here is how it plays out. Monday customers get picked up on Tuesday, Sept. 8. From there, each day slides forward until collection wraps on Saturday, Sept. 12. Your recycling cart moves with your trash cart — same delay, same new day.
Set your bin out Monday and nothing gets picked up. You would be looking at a full week before the next regular run. Set it out Tuesday instead, and you are fine. Thursday customers move to Friday.
This is standard annual procedure under the town's holiday collection policy. No special action from residents required. Just update the mental calendar.
Republic Services handles weekly trash, recycling, and bulk and brush pickup for everyone in Flower Mound. The normal schedule resumes the following week.
Not sure which day your address is on? The town's waste and recycling collection map at flowermound.gov will confirm it. Questions can go to Town Customer Relations at 972.539.7378.
