Lakeside Village Hosts Oktoberfest on October 10 — Noon to 10 PM, with the Texas-OU Game On Screen

If your October 10 was going to be parked on the couch for Texas-OU anyway, here's a better option about five minutes from most of Flower Mound.

Lakeside Village Oktoberfest runs Saturday, October 10, from noon to 10 PM, with music, food, beer gardens, and a Texas-OU watch party. The Red River Rivalry kicks off that afternoon, so the timing works cleanly — walk in, grab a beer, and the game is already there.

The Tavern at Lakeside is one of the anchors for the event. It has a pet-friendly outdoor patio, so you can watch the game inside or drift out to the beer garden without losing the score.

The Red River Rivalry airs on ABC or ESPN. Oktoberfest runs long enough on both ends that you can arrive before kickoff and stay well after the final whistle.

Admission is free. Food and drink are available for purchase from the restaurants and bars along Lakeside Parkway, so options are plentiful.

Plan for heavier parking and foot traffic than a typical Saturday. Lakeside Parkway fills quickly for big events, and October 10 stacks Oktoberfest, the Longhorns game, and regular weekend traffic all at once. Arriving closer to noon than to kickoff gives you a much better shot at a comfortable spot.
