LISD Opens Its Financial Report Card to the Public on Monday, Nov. 9
The state grades every Texas school district on how it handles money — and state law requires LISD to show you the results.

If you pay property taxes in Lewisville ISD — and in Flower Mound, you do — Monday, Nov. 9 gives you the chance to see exactly how the district scored on the state's financial report card. LISD has scheduled a public hearing for 7 p.m. at the boardroom of the LISD Administrative Center, 1565-A W. Main Street in Lewisville.
The subject is Schools FIRST, the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas. It is the state's school financial accountability program, built to hold Texas public schools and charters responsible for how well they manage money. Districts receive one of four letter grades — A, B, C, or F — paired with a label: Superior Achievement, Above Standard Achievement, Meets Standard Achievement, or Substandard Achievement.
Once the Texas Education Agency releases final ratings, districts hold a public hearing to report those results to parents, taxpayers, and the media. The ratings carry weight beyond the hearing room, too: TEA uses them as part of the criteria for deciding how to allocate monitoring and examination resources across school districts.

Monday's hearing will cover the newest results.
The meeting is free and open to the public. If you have questions about how the district manages its budget or reserves, this is the room where those questions belong. Check lisd.net ahead of Monday, Nov. 9 to confirm any remote-access option.
