LISD's Online Enrollment Portal Is Down Until July 13

If you moved to Flower Mound this summer and sat down to enroll your kid in Lewisville ISD this week, you hit a wall. Online enrollment applications are temporarily unavailable. Not a glitch. Not a slow server. The portal is intentionally offline, and it won't come back until Sunday.

LISD is transitioning to a new student information system — Skyward Qmlativ SIS — this summer. New student enrollment will reopen on July 13, 2026, in the updated Qmlativ system. Four days from now. Mark it.

The timing is what it is. Mid-July is peak season for families relocating before fall — job transfers, lease endings, kindergarteners whose parents budgeted a summer of paperwork. A system migration is a reasonable thing to do. Dropping it into the middle of enrollment season without loud, proactive communication is less so. If you didn't happen to check lisd.net/enroll this week, you might not have known at all.

One thing worth knowing: returning students already enrolled for 2025–26 do not need to take action at this time. This only affects new families — those who have never had a child in LISD, or those who need to add a child who wasn't previously enrolled. If your kids are already in the system, nothing changes for you.

What happens July 13 is worth watching. A system migration either smooths out friction or just moves it to a new address. If the new Qmlativ portal is faster and clearer than whatever it replaced, great. If families log on Sunday and encounter a new set of confusing steps, that story writes itself. Either way, don't wait until August to find out.
