National Night Out Is This Tuesday — Registered Flower Mound Neighborhoods Celebrate with Block Parties

If your street registered a block party, Tuesday night is yours.

Flower Mound's National Night Out runs 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Streets that signed up are in the running for the annual Flower Mound Neighborhood of the Year award, and Town Council members, Flower Mound Police Department officers, Flower Mound Fire Department crews, and others are expected to be out across the evening.

The event is free. What registration unlocked was the official visit — officers and firefighters walking your cul-de-sac, meeting your neighbors, handing out information, and sizing up your block for that award. National Night Out is an annual campaign built to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, with the goal of strengthening the relationship between neighbors and local law enforcement.

Flower Mound's celebration lands on Oct. 6 while most of the country celebrated back in August.
