The Creation Lab Is Closing for Two Weeks — and Coming Back Bigger

Finish your project before Sunday

If you use the Creation Lab at Flower Mound Public Library, you have until this Sunday, Aug. 30. The space closes Monday, Aug. 31 for a two-week expansion, and it won't reopen until Tuesday, Sept. 15.

The renovation is funded in part by donations from the Friends of the Flower Mound Public Library, a nonprofit that raises money to support library materials, programs, and services. The Creation Lab opened in September 2021. One confirmed addition is a sublimation printer, which uses heat to transfer full-color designs onto compatible materials such as polyester fabric and specially coated mugs. The Town has not yet identified the other machines being added.

First-timers need to sign a Use Agreement before touching anything. Download it from the library's website before you show up. Kids under 13 need an adult in the room. Machine reservations open a week in advance online. Walk-ins are welcome, but booking ahead is the smarter move.

Monday–Thursday: 11 a.m.–7 p.m. | Saturday: 11 a.m.–4:30 p.m. | Closed Friday and Sunday.
