The Friends of the Library Book Sale Is Coming Up at Broadmoor

If your reading pile has gone flat, this is a good week to fix it cheaply.

The Friends of the Flower Mound Public Library are running their fall book sale at the library on Broadmoor Lane. Shelves will be stocked with gently used books, DVDs, and CDs — the kind of prices that make it easy to take a chance on something you'd never pay full retail for.

The Friends now take credit cards alongside cash and checks. No need to hit an ATM on the way.

Money raised goes to library programming, not the town's general operating budget. Storytimes, special events, the kinds of things that don't always have a guaranteed line item.

Got a stack of finished books gathering dust? The Friends accept donations — check flowermound.gov/446/Friends-of-the-Library for drop-off details, including dates, times, and location. The Friends run sales four times a year, so another chance will come. Fall sales tend to bring in a fresh haul, though, so this one is worth the detour.
