The Marauders Made It to State. The School Board Made It Official.

Baseball seasons end in May for most Texas high school teams. Marcus High's ended at Dell Diamond in Round Rock — which means it was a good one.

If you spent your spring evenings at the Dixon Baseball Complex watching the Marauders work through the bracket, the Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees made it official on August 10. Trustees recognized the Marcus baseball program at their regularly scheduled meeting, listing the UIL State Tournament appearance among the evening's recognition items. The acknowledgment landed during the district's first week of staff prep days ahead of the new school year.

Getting to Dell Diamond means surviving the full UIL playoff gauntlet: district, area, regional quarterfinals, regional semifinals, regional finals, then the state tournament itself. That is a lot of baseball. A lot of bus rides. A lot of late innings at Dixon.

The board's recognition is ceremonial — no votes, no budget lines. Just trustees pausing the agenda to put the Marauders on the record for a season worth remembering.
