Trotter Park Gets a $10.25M Filing — With 12 Pickleball Courts

If you've been circling Glenwick Park waiting for an open court, this changes your options.

Flower Mound has filed plans with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for Trotter Park, a new facility with a price tag of $10.25 million. The state record, filed under project number TABS2026024315, lists a completion target of January 7, 2028.

The planned footprint is 515,000 square feet. Inside that space: a parking lot, playground, one basketball court, two tennis courts, 12 pickleball courts, and a loop trail around open green space.

That last number matters. Twelve purpose-built outdoor courts on a single dedicated site is a different animal entirely from what the town currently offers.

The TDLR filing is a state-level accessibility and construction review. It means the project has moved past the sketch phase and into formal permitting. What the filing doesn't show is the funding breakdown — whether this draws on a bond, existing capital reserves, a grant, or some combination.
